WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Bible
Was written by human authors under the supernatural influence of the Holy Spirit,
therefore due to the inspiration of God we believe that the bible is true, without error and it is
still extremely relevant to our everyday lives.

2 Timothy 3:16,17; John 16:13; 14:26; Acts 20:20,27; 2 Peter 1:3

Jesus

Is the only begotten Son of our heavenly Father who was sent to this world to die for our
sins. He was born of a virgin birth and was a perfect man, who, because of His sacrifice for our
sins, we are now able to live our lives in eternity with the heavenly Father.

Matthew 28:18; Philippians 3:20,21; Colossians 1:16; Revelation 17:14; 19:16; John 3:31; Romans 9:5; Acts 10:36; Romans 10:12; Philippians 2:9-11; Ephesians 1:21; John 16:15; 17:10

The Father

God is all knowing and all present. He is a good God who loves His children. God is
light and in Him there is no darkness at all. He deserves our unconditional love, relentless
pursuit and unwavering trust. God is all powerful and unchanging. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Genesis 1:1, 26-27 & 3:22; John 4, Col 1:3-14; Galatians 4:6; John 14:1-17

Holy Spirit
He comforts us, He is evidence of our relationship with Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin and is to lead and guide us into all truths. He gives us spiritual gifts and assures us of our relationship with Christ.

I Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13 & 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 2:12 & 3:16; Ephesians 1:13 & 5:18; Galatians 5:25

The Holy Trinity

God exists as one unit made of three persons: The Father, The Son and The
Holy Spirit. While each member serves a different function, they all share equal power.

John 14:16-17, Luke 1: 35, John 10:30

Church
Church is a pivotal part of any believer’s life. It is a local community built by a collection of believers to connect with one another, enrich the community and serve as a safe haven and house of restoration to those in need. It is committed to bringing Christ to the forefront of our
lives through biblical based teachings and obedience to all God’s commandments.

Ephesians 4:11-13, Acts 2:42, Matthew 16:18

Man
Although made in the image of God, man was separated by disobedience. Due to this, man cannot gain favor from God simply by his“good works” but must be reconciled to Christ through repentance. Every human was designed uniquely complex and is deserving of respect and
Christian love.

Acts 17:26, Psalm 8:3-6, Gen1:26

Repentance
Man was created in the image of God but through sinful disobedience man fell from grace. It is through Jesus that man can now be restored back into right fellowship with the Father through the prayer of repentance. Repentance does not mean that we are perfect, but it does mean that we have acknowledged the sin in our lives and have made a commitment to turn from our sin and pursue God. It is through genuine repentance that we receive forgiveness of our sins.

Matthew 3:11, Matthew 9:13 Luke 3:3 Acts 11:18

Salvation
The only way to gain salvation is through repentance of our sins through Jesus Christ. The blood of Christ was shed on the Cross for our sins. When we believe in the death and resurrection of Christ as payment for our sins, then we receive salvation. Salvation is a gift from
God, therefore it cannot be earned by our good deeds.

Gen 49:18, Deut 32:15, Romans 10:9, Psalm 24:5

Prayer
It is our sole communication with God. Prayer is extremely imperative to a successful relationship with the Father.

1 John 5:14, 2 Chronicles 7:14, Jeremiah 29:12

Baptism
This is an open expression and evidence of one’s salvation. It is a means of symbolism by going into the water as the old person you once were and coming out of the water as a clean vessel, ready to be used by God. Baptism is not a substitute for the prayer of salvation meaning that the act of baptism alone does not guarantee one’s salvation without proper confession and belief of Christ’s death and resurrection.

1 Peter 3:21, Acts 10:48,  Colossians 2:12, Galatians 3:27

Communion
We believe that communion is a symbolic time in which the bread and juice represents Christ’s body and blood. Communion is taken in remembrance of the price that Christ paid for our sins on the Cross. It is not something to be taken in habitual sin nor is it meant to be taken on a schedule, but rather its importance is to be honored and revered when it is taken.

Luke 22:19-20, Matthew 26:26-28, Acts 2:42-46

Five-Fold Ministry
his is made of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. Both men and women are chosen for these positions in the body of Christ and these gifts are to be used in the local church for the perfecting of the saints in order to equip other Christians to carry out God’s
plan for our lives.

Ephesians 4:11, Ephesians 4:12, Titus 1:5

Health & Prosperity
It is God’s purpose that all His children excel in life and are whole, healthy and successful in all areas of their lives including spiritual, financial, mental health, physical etc.

3 John 1:2, Proverbs 17:22,  Luke 16:10-11,  Psalm 1:1-3

Second Coming
We believe that Christ will return for His Bride (the Church) on a day and time unknown to Man therefore we are to live our lives every day in anticipation of His return.

Matthew 24:44, Hebrews 10:24-25,  Revelation 24:12, 1 John 2:28

Eternity
Either Man will live his life in eternity with Christ in fellowship and union through
repentance and salvation or separated from Christ by sin in hell. Heaven and Hell are physical
locations of eternal existence.

John 10:28-30, 1 John 2:17, 1 John 5:11, John 3:16
